Biography

Mr. York has served as a director since November 2010. Mr. York currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of Altea Active, a private fitness and wellness company since June 2024. Previously, he served as Special Advisor to Sobeys Inc., the second largest food retailer in Canada from June 2020 to January 2025. Mr. York also served as Partner of Farm Boy Stores Inc., a Canadian specialty grocery retailer from June 2020 to January 2024 and as Co-Chief Executive Officer and President of Farm Boy, Inc., from November 2009 through June 2020. Mr. York currently serves as Chairman and a member of the boards of directors of Focus Graphite, an advanced exploration and mining company, Braille Energy Systems, Inc., a manufacturer of race car batteries and other energy storage devices, Stria Lithium, a junior mineral exploration company with lithium claims in Northern Quebec and NexLiving Communities, Inc., an owner, operator and manager of multi-residential properties in secondary markets across Canada. As a member of the board of directors, Mr. York contributes an extensive knowledge of the grocery industry and corporate governance based on his experience as a senior executive and serving on boards of directors.
